So this is the part where most bloggers might go into extensive detail about who they are, their passions, why they've decided to blog, etc. I'm actually really bad at that and would rather you figure out who Schuywalker is from the posts. I'm at a stage in life where music is more than just random prose put to music notes and trending songs on the radio. These days, music does a lot more for me. Although I'm relatively young, real and meaningful lyrics make more sense to me because I've lived and experienced things in the past, and now I can relate to the words of the artist. One of those artists at the present time would be Drake. This is not going to be a blog solely devoted to the already over-saturated hype of 'So Far Gone' and the coming 'Thank Me Later', BUT Drake is an artist with whom, at this time in my life, I can relate to.
What can you expect from this blog? Good question. At the moment, I have no real formatting scheme. Really, I picked this up out of boredom, but the thought of blogging has crossed my mind a time or two and there's no time like the present. What I do want to do is give people a place to find and discuss current music created by quality artists. From time to time, I'll put up a new song to listen to or an album review. I'll also throw up a painting or photograph to discuss, just because I'm interested in art and the reactions and emotions they evoke. Currently, I'm working on an in-depth look into Erykah Badu's latest, 'New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh' so look out for that within the next few posts.
Mainly, I'll map out this blog as I go. There are no preconceived notions. No real expectations. Just me giving you my input on art, literature, and mainly music. I consider myself a pretty knowledgeable person when it comes to the creative arts. I'm familiar with a lot of different genres of music, so expect diversity. I don't really have too much more to say in this introduction so let us proceed.
